A Day of Community Caring, Sharing and Giving

Argyle Cares, being held on Sunday, September 26th, is a special day for the Argyle community to join together to support area charities by sharing our blessings with others less fortunate. And it’s easy everyone to participate!

Food Drive * Clothing & Household Items * Blood Drive

Argyle Cares day gives us a local location to deliver donations of food, personal care items, and new and gently used clothing and household items. Your donations will benefit the families served by the Argyle Food Pantry and Christian Community Action.

The community’s response on the first Argyle Cares day held in September 2009 was simply amazing. Local schools, students, businesses and families rallied together and approximately 5,000 pounds of food was donated along with gently used and new clothing and household items that filled five trucks or trailers. The blood donor schedule overflowed with 28 donors being squeezed into what was intended to be 24 slots. The community blessed Argyle Cares with a great start, and we hope to increase its impact with the level of donations growing each year.

Carter BloodCare will be here Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm to accept our life-giving blood donations. We have expanded the schedule to accomodate up to 36 blood donors, so please go to Carter BloodCare's website today to reserve your time.

We hope everyone will consider participating by donating or volunteering to help. We need volunteers to assist with the food, clothing and household items drives. Contact us today to volunteer.
